Project You – Rediscovering your inner glow

Writer: Julie JarvisJulie Jarvis

By the time we reach mid-life (around 45-60), most of us ladies have spent many years building and nurturing a combination of families, careers, homes and looking after ageing parents.  We’re often exhausted, overwhelmed, stressed and anxious as a result,

and quite possibly have forgotten who we truly are.  It may have been many years since we’ve had the time or energy to put ourselves first, and really look after ourselves.  Isn’t it time we rediscovered our inner glow?!

The health impacts of putting others first for many years and neglecting our own health can result in unhealthy levels of inflammation – the number one cause of serious illnesses later in life, such as heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol etc.

And this is where Project You comes in.

What does your dream 'You' look like?
What does your dream 'You' look like?

Project You is my invitation to you to put yourself first.  To remember who you really are, what you really enjoy doing, how you want to show up in the world every day.

What does your dream life look like?  What does your dream ‘You’ look like?  What small steps can you take to move towards your dreams?

Small, consistent daily steps lead to formed habits, which lead to transformations.

Maybe you want to spend time focussing on your health and wellbeing; spend more time exercising, eating nourishing food, and being pampered.  Maybe you want to rediscover hobbies that you haven’t had time to enjoy for years.  Maybe you want to visit places, museums, castles, shopping centres, beaches that you haven’t been able to get to.

Whatever it is that helps you rediscover yourself, and your inner glow, now is the time.

Fall in love with you
Fall in love with you

Fall in love with looking after yourself.  Fall in love with you.

Because you count, and it’s your turn.
